? ABOUT BOUJAD RUGS :
Without any shadow of doubt, Boujaad rugs are traditionally handwoven treasures that combine the visual appeal of luxury things like diamond and jewelery with the functionality of everyday objects like consumer goods.
These hand made carpets not only have gorgeous berber designs but also are special in the way they perform and age. In other words, they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
Every Boujaad rug is unique and unequaled in quality due to the continuous use of natural dyes.
Moroccan rugs surely keep a rare charm of Boujaad region located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, they are known by their catching vintage look and multiple symbols as well as they contain a wonderful color palette in a variety of shades such as orange, red, white, pink, purple and violet.
In Morocco, a lot of love and time are put in the weaving process by the old berbere women who have the spirit of Boujaad rugs. They truly translate their woven art in those handmade vintage rugs. In this direction, they participate to make them famous and similar to the beni ouarain rugs in terms of global demand.
In addition to this, good-quality of wool is the most interesting factor that our customers are looking for ! The secret of buying boujaad rugs resides in the fact that the sheep wool became very soft and authentic with years, hence, it bring ease of comfort, warmth and add a traditional touch to their room decor.
With the size of your choice, The sumptuous tribal boujaad carpet comes with geometric design, different colors and detailed patterns. Our collection of colorful rugs is the perfect addition to your home space or business office that will fit with practically every style and taste. Moreover, Kechart first supports independent artisans who are capable of offering the best quality of rugs with a unique touch. Those artisans love their work and base it on natural origins and sustainable methods. In that regard, they put forward their expertise and use the appropriate type and the highest quality of wool which is an extremely crucial factor in determining the price of the finished carpet.
Further, to dye the wool for a genuine handmade rug, develop the design, and weave the rug itself, a craftsperson invests a significant amount of time, talent, and energy to get it just perfect. Also, the beauty of the making resides in the hand woven berber rugs made by women from the high Atlas Mountains and created carefully, passionately for the best results. These Amazigh rugs produced in this way will always survive in the market because art never dies! In this context, Beni was created to honor this tradition.
Today, Customers buy our stylish collection, of traditional and contemporary rugs, handwoven in subdued hues. Following this path, they are giving the opportunity to Mister Belaid to re-invest the money back to his online Boutique and carry on producing beautiful work of Art that will absolutely meet and go beyond individual needs.
The berber tribes in Mor have their distinct weaving style. Tribal Loop and Pile of the finest quality are produced entirely by hand. Weavers #39; living histories are incorporated in the creating process.

Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a chairde and welcome to my weekly Report.
Well I have it, I have Covid19, tested positive five or six days ago. Earlier trials proved negative and how I dreaded the wait to see if the second red line would move along and put me among the condemned. For a day or two about a week ago I didn’t feel great so I ventured on another test, a move I didn’t take lightly because the word was out that testers were in short supply. To make sure of doing it right I didn’t spare my poor nostrils, followed the rules to a tee and waited and then low and behold the second line reddened up. This time instead of feeling any sense of alarm, I was rather more relieved. Glad in a way that the waiting was over and there was nothing to do for it but hope for the best, listen to the body a give it all the help I could to help it cope. Other members of the family ranging in age from 10 to 38, were already a week into their isolation and doing fine apart from headaches and stuffy noses. Now I’m the same. Having the advantage of my age I had the added guard of the booster in my system.

Where The Road Takes Me – Sunday 9th Jan.
When British based pop star Manfred Mann discovers that his mother Alma intends selling up all she owns in Johannesburg and moving to Kanturk to marry a local man, he is concerned. But his fears are unfounded as Donal and Alma spend many happy years together.
In the first of a two part programme on Where the road takes me, John Greene discovers how a simple exchange of Penpal letters between Kanturk and South Africa results in romance and eventual marriage.
Manfred Mann, for his part agrees to contribute to the story and the programme, if a promise is honoured to search for a local couple, who he says went far beyond what was expected of them as carers for his mother, especially during her final days.
This two part programme has everything…….
Romance, escaping apartheid, avoiding music’s drug culture of the 60s and 70s, the search for Jackie and Teresa and of course the story and hit songs of Manfred Mann and later Manfred Mann’s Earthband. [read more …] ““Where the Road Takes Me” at 7pm this Sunday on C103″
